When Kids Can Do Their Laundry?

Set yourself free and give your child a valuable life skill at the same time

Here in the thelittlebigbamboo household, we recently experienced another milestone. Salena learn how to use the washing machine!

Of all the endless tasks of home keeping, laundry is the worst: so many steps and it never, ever ends. And then I noticed Salena just by observing our routine, learnt how to sort out the clothes and use our laundry detergent sheet and start the washing machine as well.

Ohh, teaching by example or by mistake is essentially how we rolled. We have successfully set yourselves with 4 key good steps towards a better planet

• Zero plastic liquid or powder detergent that contains chemicals developed over 100years ago
• Use cold water to save energy
• Zero mess and fun by using one sheet of our laundry detergent strips
• 100% compostable packaging

Whilst this took a while, we have also taught Salena to undertake these key simple laundry tasks

• Sort out clothes by light and dark colours
• Sort for pre-strains if needed
• Check pockets for coins or other forgotten stuff
• How to use the laundry detergent sheet and how many to use
• Choose the cold wash setting
• Close the door and start the washing machine
