How Do I Choose the Right Bamboo Pot size?

In this practical series, we ask our past customers to provide their observations and we compare the bamboo pot sizes, budget and growing conditions

Starting off with the right container, particularly the right size, is key to setting up your potted garden, and getting it to look good and thrive.

1. The ideal bamboo pot size (30cm)

Our BIG30 is super well established, well rooted and our BEST SELLER

✔ Our root system is not too big neither too small, making them the right size to get the best out this pot size

✔ It’s also 55% cheaper than the 20cm pot size over time given the time taken to achieve screening, litres of water saved watering and fertiliser used

✔ If a 30cm size is less than $150, the bamboo is not well established. (a 20cm pot was simply potted up to a 30cm 🙁 and the plant will suffer risk of stress

2.The budget bamboo pot size (20cm)

✔ Propagated different to their younger sisters (3L) or 20cm from competitors, we have truly created a ONE-OF-A-KIND

✔ Given the new division technique, we can guarantee new THICK and STRONGER stems giving our bamboo community a HEADS START and a much faster screening compared to similar 20cm in the marketplace

3.The riskier bamboo pot size (3L – except our best value version)

✔ More expensive in the longer run given the time taken and watering care and fertilising car

✔ Our hardier (best value) version (2.5m high +) is an exception due to the hardiest and exposure to Melbourne erratic weather
