Not every Gracilis plant is equal in its early phase (3L bags – 20cm equivalent)
A small bamboo cannot only be judged by its “height” but by other factors that create the highest quality possible in this category.
As a general guide, a 20cm pot size or 3L small bags marketed “tall” under $55 for Melbourne erratic weather growing conditions is at the risk of an under developed small root system or a 30cm pot with couple of stems only 2.5m high under $150 is definitely a RED flag. It’s under-cooked!

Make sure it’s Genuine
It’s almost impossible to distinguish between various Bamboo varieties when they are young! We are the Gracilis specialist and certify that your bamboo is an original breed.
Beware of a recent increase of imitators from Gumtree and Ebay and new suppliers, selling all sorts of varieties which is not Gracilis !
